If you into noodles, this is another restaurant you should try when you are traveling in Macau after the popular Wong Chi Kei restaurant. Wong Chi Kei’s ideal location in Senado Square makes it even popular but the long queues are sometimes unbearable while Oja Sopa De Fita Chueng Kei is located within walking distance from Senado Square.
I know there are a few blogger friends who blogged about this restaurant but it is my friend, Michael who brought us here. Weather wasn’t good that day as it was raining for the whole day and what is better than having a warm meal of Macau popular noodles?
If there is something you want to try in Macau, it should be the shrimp roe noodles. Delicious egg noodles compliment with dried shrimp roe, the taste depends on the quality of the noodles as well as the taste of the shrimp roe. If you are egg noodle lover, you should try this as the taste is quite unique.
Their version of wonton noodle is similar with those in Hong Kong. Noodles in broth accompanied with large size wonton with shrimp filling. Unlike the ones in Malaysia where you get minced pork as filling, the wontons in Hong Kong and Macau only uses shrimps. This gorgeous looking bowl of noodle usually sprinkled with chopped spring onion for the extra taste and texture.
For side dishes, the deep fried wonton and rice balls are simply addictive. You can hardly go wrong with fried food.
