No more processing fee for AirAsia Flights starting October
Good news for budget travellers! AirAsia will remove processing fees starting this October when passengers pay either though online banking or credit card.
AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Fernandes posted this on his Twitter post a few hours ago.
I’m pleased to announce that @Airasia is removing processing fee from October. We still still have some charges to drive traffic to cheaper, safer and less fraudless methods. But there Will be methods with no fees. no more process #technologyrules #makingairfaresaffordable

This is a move forward for budget travellers (like us) and don’t forget that The Malaysian Aviation Commission (MAVCOM) has increased the passenger service charge (PSC) last year.
If you are wondering why the AirAsia flight tickets are pricier now than it used to be is partially due to the increment of passenger service charge (PSC) in 2018.
For your information, AirAsia’s processing fees now is ranging from RM 4 to RM 16 depending on passengers payment method from debit card, credit card to Union Pay.
