Bangkok Floating Market and Train Market Private Tour for Family
Bangkok Floating Market and Train Market Private Tour for Family
We just went to Bangkok for a family holiday staycation and we went to a couple of private tours. One of them is the famous Bangkok Floating Market and Train Market Private Tour for Family and we booked it with KKDay.
Just book it in advance with KKDay, let them know which hotel you stay in Bangkok and what time you want them to pick up. The driver waited for us at hotel lobby and then we go for our Bangkok Floating Market and Train Market Private Tour for Family.
The reason we chose Bangkok Floating Market and Train Market Private Tour for Family as we were traveling with kids so we can travel in our pace and our privacy. On top of that, the Bangkok Floating Market and Train Market Private Tour for Family is affordable too.
It took around 90 minutes to reach the floating market from the hotel plus the morning traffic jam.
First stop, Damneon Saduak Floating Market. We spent around one hour inclusive of 30 minutes of boat ride with the family.
This is our boys first time to Thailand and we want them to experience the boat ride as well as the floating market. We stopped at a few floating boat stalls and one of them is the coconut ice cream.
The coconut ice cream is a must order. It is not just beautiful for photo but its tasty and price is reasonable too.
The long tail boat slowly sail through the small canals around the neighbourhood. After an half hour ride, we have another 30 minutes to check out the floating market.
We checked out the boat noodles and ordered two flavours, the clear soup and the tom yum flavour. It takes a while for them to cook as there was a long queue but the noodles were great.
The taste is authentic and it is really tasty and it is not pricey at all. We highly recommended this if you visit Damneon Saduak Floating Market.
After the Damneon Saduak Floating Market, we went to the Maeklong Train Market which is nearby. The train will cross through the Maeklong Train Market twice and there is a specific timing for the timetable.
We didn’t venture deep into the Maeklong Train Market and stay at a café near the main road. What happened at the Maeklong Train Market is the same as what we watched on Youtube.
The traders here packed their things and clear it for the train just a minute before the train passed thru. There is a red line along the track and that is the width of the train.
The kids loved the experience as they manage to get up, close and personal with the moving train. It was a memorable experience for the family and this is our first time visiting the Maeklong Train Market.
There are sufficient time for us to venture the Maeklong Train Market or having lunch in a restaurant / café at this place or nearby. However, we chose to go back to Bangkok at bring the family to venture Central World Bangkok.
Bangkok Floating Market and Train Market Private Tour for Family is highly recommended for family travelers like us. The tour guide is friendly while the van ride is smooth and enjoyable. We paid RM 481 for this family private tour.
