Since everyone is talking about Japan, let’s talk about value for money flights to Japan. Flight tickets to Japan from Malaysia is not cheap anymore. Most flights from Malaysia to Japan cost easily over RM 2k. To have cheaper deals, you need to look for airlines with layover / stopover and one of them is Vietnam Airlines.
We are familiar with Vietnam Airlines as we flew with them in 2017 from Kuala Lumpur to Osaka with my family. Hence, we do recommend Vietnam Airlines with the short layover. Back then, they had flight promotion and our flight to Japan was RM 800 per person. Yes, RM 800 per person to fly to Japan with Vietnam Airlines in 2017.
This price is inclusive of meal, in-flight entertainment as well as 1 x 23 kg baggage from Kuala Lumpur to Japan and back. Please take note that they will check in your baggage from Malaysia to Japan.
Flying to Japan with Vietnam Airlines was quite a pleasant experience. The flight times were not too bad as well for Kuala Lumpur to Osaka (depending on dates).
The food is pretty tasty as well and the service is pretty top notch. Considering the price, we will rate the flight experience with Vietnam Airlines 5 stars!
