Wat Trai Samakkhi Phaya Naga Island Sisaket Isaan
Wat Trai Samakkhi Phaya Naga Island Sisaket Isaan
This is one of the few temples we visited in Sisaket Isaan province of Thailand. This is the Northeast province of Thailand and not many people actually travelled to this part of the country.
The Wat Trai Samakkhi or known as Phaya Naga Island at Sisaket Isaan is officially opened in 2022 to commerate the Luang Pho Prathanphon.
Phaya Naga Island is a new cultural attraction in Sisaket and this reminds of the Buddha Park of Sala Keoku or it is also known as Buddha Park of Nong Khai Thailand. However, the Wat Trai Samakkhi Phaya Naga Island is not as mythical as Sala Keoku.
Wat Trai Samakkhi Phaya Naga Island sculptures are beautifully painted blue and this stands out when you are here for photos and videos.
There will be 9 families of serpents on the island
1. Phaya Phuchong Nakharat
2. Phayasirasutthonakharat
3. Phaya Nattanaraj
4. Mujarin Nakharat
5. Pyayasman Nakharat
6. The black snake Saen Siri Chantranakarat
7. Phaya Phetchaphat Nakharat or Phaya Klet Kaew Nakharat
8. Phaya Sisattanakharat
9. Phayakhonrata Srithevanakharat
Due to the size of Sisaket Isaan, we highly recommend a travel company to arrange your tours here. Self drive is possible but you might have issue in lost in translation.
