Boat Noodles at Damneon Saduak Floating Market Bangkok
Boat Noodles at Damneon Saduak Floating Market Bangkok
This is something interesting I found during our half day tour to Damneon Saduak Floating Market Bangkok on my recent trip to Thailand with my family. This is the one of the few boat noodles at Damneon Saduak Floating Market and it is good!
The last time I visited Damneon Saduak Floating Market is over 20 years ago. I wanted to do refresh trip and this time with the kids.
It is always good for the young ones to experience the real floating market as well as the canals around this area. Some might say this is commercial and tourist trap but this is still a great experience for first timers to Bangkok.
We had one hour break at Damneon Saduak Floating Market and we went to try out this boat noodles. There is only one boat noodle opened that day and it was busy with customers.
You take a look at the menu, they offer four types of noodles and they are clear noodles with soup with added blood, noodles with clear soup, noodles with spicy sour soup and egg and noodles with seafood and pink soup.
Each boat noodles is 50 Baht each and it is made inside the sampan boat. All the ingredients are there and they just to need to cook it there. Sometimes there are other boats that will stop and buy from them.
We ordered the Noodles with Clear Soup for the kids and we ordered the Noodles with Spicy Soup without blood.
Noodles with Clear Soup at a glance, it comes with char siew (pork), pork crackles, minced pork, fish ball, beansprout and green. It was very warm there so we just ate it without really analysing what is inside.
The kids enjoyed it as we shared this bowl. For 50 Baht, it portion is pretty decent with quite a lot of ingredients. For the taste, it is pretty good.
We also ordered the Noodles with Spicy Soup without blood. This is spicy in general and it comes with fish ball, sliced pork, pork liver, beansprout and green.
This is stronger in flavour and spicy and if you are more adventurous, u can have the pig’s blood.
Overall, the Boat Noodles at Damneon Saduak Floating Market Bangkok is better than expected. The taste is better than the ones in shopping malls in Malaysia. Remember this is part of the Floating Market and Train Market tour from KKDay.
We booked this with Kkday for around RM 400, half day tour. Pick up from hotel and send you back to hotel or shopping malls in Bangkok.
