Transiting at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi Vietnam
Just sharing my recent experience transiting at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi Vietnam. I had two hours of transit time at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi Vietnam as I was flying back from Osaka Japan to Hanoi and then back to Kuala Lumpur.
Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi Vietnam is a medium size airport. This is my third time here and I must say, the airport is very well maintained.
You have to take the bus from the airplane to the airport terminal. From there, you need to scan your bags before heading to the gate.
The problem starts when there is lack of airport staffs manning the area. The arrival hall is packed with tourists and locals and many people transiting stuck with the crowd.
What I did is I have to go to the far left and barge through the crowd as I intended to go to the transit hall and not to the arrival hall.
I had to ‘excuse me’ all the way to the transit hall and it was empty! Many people were caught in tourists at arrival hall and they end up queuing to the wrong place.
On top of that, all the food prices at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi Vietnam is in US$ Dollars. One bottle of mineral water cost around 2 dollars and more. This is one of the most expensive airports in Asia and the food prices comparable to European Airports.
If you are Transiting at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi Vietnam, please do take note of the long queues as well as the expensive food prices. Be prepared.
