On my recent trip to Japan, I managed to learn more about Japanese sea cucumber. The highlight of the trip is the taste Japan Highest Grade Sea Cucumber from Hokkaido!
The Japan Highest Grade Sea Cucumber from Hokkaido is from Miyahi brand of Kit Blue company. The Miyahi brand sea cucumbers are produced by fishery operators and processors in the Gan-wu region, the back yard of Niseko Hokkaido.
Japan Highest Grade Sea Cucumber from Hokkaido is not cheap. For one box of Miyahi brand sea cucumber, it is around RM 2000 per box.
The peculiar looking sea cucumber is dried version. Once you soaked it into water and cooked it, it will be similar to the usual cucumber.
The texture of this sea cucumber is springy, in Chinese we called it ‘QQ’ and the texture is bit harder than the usual sea cucumber.
This Japan Highest Grade Sea Cucumber from Hokkaido is a luxury food. The price tag of RM 2000 means it is only for high end customers in Asia region as this is mostly exported.
