The Horizon Grill is a rooftop restaurant that offers view of Petronas Twin Tower and KL Tower. You will be mesmerized by the view when you are dining at the outdoor section of the restaurant. I had the opportunity to try the 6-course set menu (A symphony of flavours) for MYR 588 NETT PER PERSON and MYR 888 NETT PER PERSON with wine pairing.
Let’s start with the PORTUGUESE SNACKS!
Honey Poori with Prawn Cream and Octopus with Potato Espuma and Green Olive oil. Poori is soft and crispy in texture with the prawn cream offers hints of saltiness aftertaste. The potato espuma is creamy while the octopus offers hints of saltiness which is common in some Portuguese dishes.
Paired with NV Taittinger
TUNA
This is tuna wrapped with oyster and topped with imperial caviar with cucumber sauce. You can taste the freshness and texture of the tuna with hints of the saltiness of caviar with the subtle taste of the cucumber sauce. This is delightful!
Paired with Trimbach Riesling
SQUID
This is cuttlefish with creamy peanut and black ink sauce. This is clever as not many people uses creamy peanut sauce for cuttlefish dish. The taste of the peanut and black in sauce actually complement the cuttlefish. This is clever!
Paired with Albert Bichot Chablis
CANADIAN LOBSTER
The Canadian lobster meat literally swimming on the orange saffron sauce with bits of potato noodles. The top piece is black tuile lace that offers some presentation to this gorgeous lobster dish.
Paired with Miraval Rosé
MAIN COURSE
BARRAMUNDI
There is a fine piece of barramundi and the other piece is actually sweet potato with mussel on top of it. Many thought that huge piece of sweet potato is the wagyu but it is not.
This is Portuguese Chef Louis Anjos unique way of the classic Caldeirada which is Portuguese fish stew. You can taste the freshness and the texture of the fish with hints of the stew. Next, you can have the sweet potato together with the mussels.
Paired with Kim Crawford Pinot Noir
WAYGU BEEF
This is the second main dish and this is Wagyu A5 Tokushima with generous amount of truffle, wild mushroom and artichoke. As huge fan of Wagyu beef, this is heavenly. The beef is cooked to perfection, the texture and taste is perfect and this is beautiful especially with the truffle. You probably crave for another piece after tasting this.

PRE DESSERT
Cherry Chocolate. There is a mini cone of cherry jelly with chocolate mousse and cinnamon cream sitting on top of mini chocolate puff balls. Once you done with the cherry jerry, you can’t stop having those sweet little mini chocolate puff balls like a kid.
BANANA
This is Portuguese Chef Louis Anjos representation of Banana as dessert. You can a real looking banana that is actually banana mouse with banana filling. There is an actual piece of banana with the hazelnut ice cream.
Paired Thomas Barton Sauternes
PETIT FOUR
This is raspberry chocolate praline, coffee jelly, almond puff pastry and caramel pudding. A combination of different textures and tastes for this petit four. The sweetness of the chocolate, the bitterness of the coffee jelly, the crusty texture of the pastry and the soft texture of the pudding. What a way to end this beautiful dinner by Portuguese Chef Louis Anjos.
