Kobe Airport Marine Air Japan
Kobe Airport Marine Air Japan
Kobe Airport or also known as Kobe Airport Marine Air (UKB) is a domestic airport serving the Kansai region of Japan. It is situated on an artificial island off the coast of Kobe, offering panoramic views of the city and the surrounding area.
Isn’t just a transit point – it’s a gateway to exploring the vibrant city of Kobe and beyond. Whether you have a short layover or a few hours to kill, this unique airport offers stunning views, delicious food options, and even a glimpse into Japanese culture.
How do I stumbled upon Kobe Airport Marine Air Japan? I stayed at Kobe last year for a change. I landed at Kansai Airport and took the ferry to Kobe which coincidentally stopped at Kobe Airport Marine Air.
Panoramic Views and Tranquil Relaxation
First things first, ditch the airplane stress. Head to the observation deck on the third floor and soak in the breathtaking panorama. The cityscape of Kobe unfolds before you, with the bustling port and the majestic Rokko mountains framing the scene. It’s the perfect spot to capture some envy-inducing travel photos.
For those with a longer layover, escape the hustle and bustle in one of the airport’s lounges. Sink into comfy chairs, indulge in complimentary refreshments, and catch up on work or simply unwind with free Wi-Fi.
Since I was passing by, it didn’t go for the breathtaking view on third floor but believe it or not, this airport is pretty busy for a domestic airport.
A Culinary Adventure Awaits
Foodies, rejoice! Kobe Airport is not your average airport food court. Here, you’ll find a delightful array of restaurants and cafes catering to all palates. From authentic Japanese ramen and sushi to international favorites like Italian pasta and French pastries, your taste buds will take a global tour.
I didn’t manage to eat here as I was rushing to Kobe City but I did purchase some of the local food products here which is one of the best buys during this trip.
Shop ’til You Drop (or Board!)
Need a souvenir or forgot some travel essentials? Worry not! The airport boasts a variety of shops selling everything from Kobe-themed trinkets and clothing to duty-free delights and travel necessities.
You can shop here or at the city. If you are flying at Kobe Airport Marine Air, you can just get the souvenirs here!
Connecting to the City
Getting to and from Kobe Airport is a breeze. The Port Liner, a rapid transit system, whisks you to the city center in just 20 minutes. Taxis and buses are also readily available.
I took the Port Liner to the city and it is a monorail. It is a brisk ride and you can actually enjoy the view of the Kobe Airport Marine Air as well as the Kobe City in Japan.
I thought this is quite an interesting story to share as I believed many people might not even know that Kobe Airport Marine Air exist in Japan.
