A week after all the influencers and dramas of the opening of Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger, I finally visit this best fried rice in town with my kids. My youngest boy asked me about Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger a few days ago and since its school holiday, time to visit his restaurant at Pavilion KL for an honest review.

You probably watched all those fantastic reviews by influencers for the past week including famous Youtuber iShowSpeed who brought so much drama to the restaurant. It is good of him to visit Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger Pavilion KL to review the egg fried rice but was it part of their plan or collaboration? Probably?

There are so much heat about this Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger Pavilion KL by mostly ‘adults’ and ‘entrepreneurs’ as they believe this Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger Pavilion KL and the best egg fried rice in town is just a gimmick.

Since many people wanted me to review Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger Pavilion KL, today I went there with my kids. We queued for one hour and then waited another half an hour for our food.

The interior is bright with Uncle Roger’s standee as well as cute food cartoon around the restaurant. The service is good and they are very helpful with questions.

Like many people out there, I am skeptical about Uncle Roger’s fried rice. I am okay with the pricing and I believe the fried rice should be at least decent.

Kimchi Fried Rice with added satay ayam. I am surprised with the first bite. It actually taste better than it looks. The wok hei is there and the kimchi taste is subtle but the fried rice is tasty. I will rate this at least 8/10.

For the satay ayam, the taste is pretty decent as it covered with the peanut sauce. The size is slightly bigger than normal Kajang satay and it is a good side order for those who never tried satay before. I rate the satay 6/10.

Uncle Roger’s Special Fried Rice (Non Spicy) + Salmon Mentaiko is next. The first bite actually blows my mind. It actually taste pretty good! It comes with wok hei and the flavours are there. However, I still can’t say this is the best egg fried rice in town. I will rate this at least 8.5/10.

Salmon Mentaiko is well cooked, skin is crispy while it complements well with the mentaiko sauce. My boy loved it. This is at least 8/10.

Uncle Roger’s Special Fried Rice (Spicy) + Garlic Shrimp is their superstar dish. However, I felt that this special fried rice is empowered by the chili sauce. There is difference in taste between this version with the non-spicy version and I prefer the latter. For this, I will rate this 6.5/10.

Garlic shrimp is huge in size, comes with hints of garlic taste. The shrimp is fresh, comes with great texture and it was deshelled too. For rating, I will give 8/10.

Uncle Roger’s Favourite Iced Lemon Tea is refreshing and the taste is not too sweet. You can also keep the cup as souvenir. This is at least 9/10!

Bandung-Lah Rose Milk Syrup comes with hints of rose taste and it is least sweet. Taste a bit watered down but I think it is enjoyable. I will rate this 7/10.

The total bill comes to around RM 140 and it is still manageable. This is about the same price with café or restaurant food in shopping malls.

Overall, Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger Pavilion KL is not disappointing and worth a visit for the experience. They are planning to expand to a couple outlets in Klang Valley too. For the fried rice, I will recommend the Uncle Roger’s Special Fried Rice (Non Spicy) and for drink, it will be Uncle Roger’s Favourite Iced Lemon Tea.

My boys said they don’t mind coming back again as they wanted to buy Uncle Roger’s merchandise. Will I come back? Probably, if there is no queue and this my Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger Pavilion KL Honest Review.

I believe many people expected me to bash Fuiyoh by Uncle Roger Pavilion KL but honestly matters, food aint bad guys! Peace.
