Golden Island Lookout Point, Eyre Peninsula
Golden Island Lookout Point, Eyre Peninsula
The best thing about traveling is the places you see and you explore. A few months ago, I traveled south to Down Under to South Australia. Every time when I mentioned about South Australia, the next word will be Adelaide.
Yes, Adelaide is the city of South Australia but there are many places unexplored in South Australia, for instance the Eyre Peninsula.
Approx. one hour flight from Adelaide, you will reach the town of Port Lincoln located within the beautiful Eyre Peninsula. At this beautiful peninsula, you find amazing fresh seafood that you can’t find elsewhere in the world.

On top of the “to die for” food, I discovered a small beautiful island off Coffin Bay near Port Lincoln. It is called the Golden Island, one of the least visited islands in Australia.
After a short drive from Port Lincoln, you will reach this beautiful Golden Island Lookout Point.
It is located beside the scenic Gunyah Beach and facing the Golden Island.
The lookout point offers one of the best landscape sceneries in South Australia. Sadly the Gunyah Beach is not safe for visitors with uneven rocks and strong currents. If you are near Coffin Bay, you should come to the Golden Island Lookout Point. Plan your trip well if you are visiting South Australia, spend a few days in Port Lincoln and also in Kangaroo Island.
