Day 1 Hobart and surrounds

Arrive Hobart, visit Richmond and explore the harbour, galleries, gardens and historic Battery Point. On Saturdays, don’t miss Salamanca

Market. Discover MONA, Museum of Old and New Art, Australia’s largest private art museum or enjoy an informative Cascade Brewery

tour before driving up to Mt Wellington for its splendid view of the city. Taste fresh seafood from fish punts and dockside restaurants

Day 2 Hobart – Tasman Peninsula – Freycinet National Park (338 km – 5 hours)

Visit Sorell Fruit Farm to pick fruit (when in season). Experience close encounters with Tasmanian devils at Tasmanian Devil Conservation

Park, then explore Port Arthur Historic Site and take the Tasman Island eco-cruise before heading north to East Coast. In the evening, join

the nightly penguin parade at Bicheno. Overnight: East Coast

Day 3 East Coast – Lake Leake – Launceston (175km – 2 hours 30 mins)

Have a berry treat at Kate Berry Farm and visit Freycinet National Park. Climb the Wineglass Bay lookout, visit Cape Tourville Lighthouse

and explore the coast in a sea kayak or take a 4WD guided ATV tours. Next, perhaps cruise Wineglass Bay or take off on a spectacular

scenic flight over the East Coast with its stunning scenery and experience the exquisite beauty of Wineglass Bay. Visit Freycinet Marine

Farm where pacific oysters and Tasmanian blue mussels are harvested daily.

Day 4 Launceston – Cradle Mountain (181 km – 2 hours 30 mins)

Visit 410 South Tasmania Salmon and Ginseng Farm; Melita Honey Farm to taste Tasmania’s famous Leatherwood honey; Ashgrove Farm

Cheese and House of Anvers Chocolate Factory to taste fine coverture chocolate and truffles.

If time permits, stop at Tasmazia; or take an alternate route to visit Trowunna Wildlife Park and take a tour Marakoopa Cave to see glow worms before heading up to Cradle Mountain. In the evening, for some nocturnal fun, join the animal ‘spotlight tour’ or Devils@Cradle for some wildlife night feeding.

Day 5 Cradle Mountain – Launceston (181 km – 2 hours 30 mins)

Day 6 Launceston – Tamar Valley (100 km – 2 hours return)

Morning, take the world’s longest single span chairlift across Cataract Gorge and head north to Tamar Valley, visit Lavender House or

Bridestowe Lavender Estate (Season : Dec-Jan), Seahorse World and Platypus House. Taste the cool-climate flavours at one of the 20

wineries and cellar doors along Tamar Valley. In the afternoon, tour south by visiting the Tasmanian Honey Company; Tasmanian

Gourmet Sauce and World Heritage listed sites of Brickendon and Woolmers Estates before flying out in the evening or extend your stay.
