Glaciar Martial Ushuaia
Glaciar Martial Ushuaia
There are many untold stories that I will be publishing in random. I have drafted the stories since months or years ago but it will be published soon. One of the most memorable stories is my visit to Ushuaia, Argentina a few years ago. Ushuaia is the southernmost city in the world and the closest city to Antarctica.
I stayed there for a week and I venture to most of the tourist attractions in Ushuaia. One of the highlights you should not miss is Glaciar Martial Ushuaia.
You hike up to Glaciar Martial Ushuaia or simply take the Aerosilla chairlift. Trust me, you should choose the latter.
The best part of taking the Aerosilla chairlift is the magnificent view of Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel. It is as good as the plane view, I didn’t lie.
You get to see the glacier at the top of the hiking trail but I didn’t make it but enjoyed the view more than the hiking.
Once you get off the Aerosilla Chairlift, you will be rewarded with two beautiful landscapes. At one side is the beautiful Beagle Channel and the city of Ushuaia and the other side is the beautiful mountains with its surrounding area.
Even though I was there during the peak of summer, there is snow. Yes, it is that cold at the southernmost city in the world. No matter how many times I have been to mountains with snow and I always get excited like a kid when I see snow. Thus, coming from a tropical country like Malaysia, snow is a very rare sight indeed.
You get to hike to the top or you can play around with the snow like a kid. Either ways, you will still enjoy this part of the world. If you are in Ushuaia, you definitely need to get your butt up here. You will meet many cruises stop in Ushuaia and many of its guests here.
This kind of view guarantees your hiking is worthwhile and is this good enough to be listed on your bucket list?
