Our stay at No. 11 Cadogan Gardens

We travelled to Europe last month for two weeks and started our adventure from London to Barcelona and then to Paris and back to London. For the last two nights, we wanted a memorable stay in London after spending twelve days rushing and traveling in three countries. Thus, we stayed at No. 11 Cadogan Gardens in Knightsbridge.

The beauty of this luxury boutique hotel is it is located in Knightsbridge and it is a stone throw away to the Tube station, shopping outlets, places of interest and restaurants. Originally constructed as a separate Victorian townhouse, the hotel was built by Lord Chelsea in the late 19th Century. A quick glance of the exterior, you might think at the hotel is one of the luxury homes in Cadogan Gardens. Walking along the streets here, you can see dozens of luxury cars parked by the road side. They actually belong to the residents of the homes here. Ferraris, Lamborghinis or Bentleys are common sight in this part of London.

We reached the hotel late after traveling back from Paris to London via Eurostar. The best part of this hotel is that it is near the Sloane Square Tube Station. We exited at station and walked to the hotel, which took us less than five minutes of walking.

We were greeted by the smiley hotel staff and swiftly we got our room key and we stayed in a suite. The surprise is the enormous size of the suite and the welcome drink (only for us). It was a complimentary bottle of champagne that sat quietly inside an ice bucket. How sweet is that? We stayed in one of the 19 suites and there are 54 guest rooms in this beautiful hotel.

The suite takes on a Victorian style with a King Size bed, a dining table and a coffee table. The bathroom is hidden behind the glass wardrobe doors.

We loved the room very much and the adjustable dim lights make the room cozy and comfortable.

The bathroom is huge and it comes with a bathtub, standing shower area and toilet. We loved the amenities offered by the hotel as well as the towel warmer.

Since it was late, we had our supper at the No.11 Cadogan Gardens Cocktail Bar. The bar is quiet and it is heavily influenced with classy red. We had a great conversation with the waiters there and you will be surprised by the honest and welcoming staff in this hotel.

To kick start the day, the ala carte breakfast in the restaurant is something every guest should look forward to. Breakfast is served from 8 am to 11 am from Monday to Friday and 7.30 am to 11.30 on weekends. The hotel offers continental breakfast with a selection of pastries, cereals, cold meats and fresh fruit, while room service offers breakfast in bed for guests wishing to enjoy the privacy of their own rooms.
