MiniMe Café Oasis Ara Damansara
There is a new kid in the block in Oasis Ara Damansara. The restaurant is called MiniMe Café and it has no relation to the celebrity MiniMe.
If you didn’t know, Oasis Ara Damansara is the place for F&B (food and beverages) with quite a few popular restaurants such as Mr and Mrs Café, Crazy Crabs, Burger Factory and a few more. Oasis Ara Damansara is located near PAWS and Citta Mall.
MiniMe Café opened probably less than fortnight and they are still expanding their food menu. I went there with my wife last Sunday for brunch and it wasn’t hard locating the café. You just need to make a few rounds and you will find it.
It is a brand new café, not many items on their menu and I heard they are going to add more once they settled down.
It is a pork free restaurant and the head chef is a Malay chef with expertise in Western food for years as I was told. Thus, they are still looking for a barista but their coffee didn’t disappoint me at all. I ordered coffee latte and flat white.
Mermaid’s Quest (RM 22.90)
Mermaid’s Quest is a starter with combination of mini tacos with garlic lemon aioli based drizzled with pineapple salsa individually tapped with soft shell crab, squid, fish and tempura prawns. Simple tacos with fried seafood, how can this be wrong?
Silence of the Lambs (RM 28.90)
Medium grilled New Zealand lamb shoulders served with roasted beetroots and baby potatoes with homemade black pepper sauce. Well, the beetroots were not there and also the baby potatoes because apparently the supplier didn’t turn up that day. They changed it to mashed broccoli replacing the baby potatoes. I love the generosity of the portion but I feel that the taste can be better. Maybe with its original beetroots, it tastes better? However, their recommendation is the lamb shank but I ordered this instead. This is good but it can better in my own opinion.
They also carry Pop Wagon Homemade Ice Cream in their café. Many varieties and I choose my favourite D24 Ice cream.
Durian D24 (RM 8.90)
Durian D24 is freeze blast ice cream uses only durian D24 flesh. This is absolutely addictive and I don’t mind having a few more sticks of these.
Overall, the food is good and I am curious on their upcoming menu. The service is good and it is fully air conditioned. Even though they didn’t have a proper barista, coffee is already good. Will come back again.
