Taling Pling Central World Bangkok

Originated from Silom, Taling Pling is a familiar name in Bangkok for their Thai cuisine. They have expanded to number of outlets in Bangkok including one in Central World.

Located on the third floor of Central World, they are one of the popular Thai restaurants in the mall. It is at the same row of Starbucks and don’t be fooled by its simple entrance as it is comfortable inside.

We didn’t go for a feast but a simple dinner for two. You can find many familiar Thai dishes in their menu and the price is similar to other Thai restaurants in the restaurant and they are usually above 100 baht for each single dish.

Pad Thai (150 Baht)

Stir fried rice noodle with beansprout, prawns, egg, tofu and topped with crunched nuts. Their version is pad thai is slightly sweet but we loved it. We love the texture of the noodle and also the taste too. The nuts in the pad thai creates the extra crunchy texture that enjoyed. Remember to squeeze the lime as it enhances the taste of the pad thai.

Green Curry with Chicken and Thai Egg Plants (135 Baht)

We didn’t show the white rice but their version of green curry chicken and thai egg plants is slightly spicy. The curry is creamy, flavourful and true to its original flavour. The chicken is cooked to perfection and it is tender and the taste is rich with the green curry. This goes really well with the rice.

BBQ Seasoned Pork Shoulder (130 Baht)

Sliced BBQ seasoned pork shoulder. We loved the tenderness of the texture of the meat even though it looks greasy. Best taken with the chili sauce.

In case you are looking for good food in the Central World, Taling Pling is definitely one of them. They serve authentic Thai cuisine with good food and reasonable pricing. You can find locals here than tourists as they know where is the good food.
