You probably seen the pictures of swimming with crocodiles on Facebook and now you should know more about this attraction. It is swim with crocodiles in Cage of Death at Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin.
I was there a few weeks ago at Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin and wanted to check out this Cage of Death attraction. The Crocosaurus Cove is located at Darwin downtown, 58 Mitchell St, Darwin City. The city is small so you can walk to the place if you stay in the city.
There are a few things you can do in Crocosaurus Cove and Cage of Death (Swim with Crocodiles) is only one of them. For the Cage of Death, you have to pay A$165 for one person in the cage and A$250 for two persons in the cage. The ticket inclusive of full day access in Crocosaurus Cove worth A$35 per person.
The Cage of Death is operated by overhead monorail and it is lowered into the enclosure of one of the largest saltwater crocodiles on the planet. The cage is transparent and you get to have a 15 minutes dive in the enclosure with these huge predators. There will be regular feeding during the Cage of Death session to encourages more ‘actions’ from the crocodiles so you can get up close and personal, face to face encounter with the green reptiles. Of course there will be professional photographers taking your proud moments when you are in the Cage of Death.
Few things you need to know before you sign up for The Cage of Death at Crocosaurus Cove in Darwin.
The Cage of Death operates 12 times per day, and participants can go it alone, or bring a friend.
The minimum age is 15 years old and 15-17 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Photo ID required for proof and participants must arrive 30 mins earlier from dive time for safety briefing and indemnity form requirements.
Please book in advance as I went there it was fully booked for the whole week so I didn’t manage to get a slot for the Cage of Death! I learnt my lesson so I hope you won’t repeat the same mistake I did!

The crocodile in the water is humongous! I would love to go visit if I have the chance but the weak Ringgit is not doing us any favours.
