Australia’s Airports New Regulations Starting 30th June 2018

For those who are traveling to Australia, please take note on the new regulations in all Australia’s airports. From 30th June (this Saturday), there are new regulations on travellers for domestic and International flights from all airports in Australia.

New regulations on Powders On Board

All powders must be separately presented for screening. The total volume of inorganic powders must not exceed 350 millilitres (volume), 350 grams (weight) in total container (based on container volume/weight).


They have categories powders to two categories, Restricted InOrganic Powder and Not Restricted Organic Powder.

Restricted InOrganic Powder includes:

Salt

Salt Scrub

Sand

Some Talcum Powders

Some Powdered Deodarant

Certain Foot Powders

Powdered Detergent and Cleaning Products

 

Not Restricted Organic Powder includes:

Powdered Baby Formula

Powdered Food

Coffee

Protein Powder

Flour, Spices, Sugar

Most Cosmetics

Epsom Salt

Please take note that some items might not be obvious such as toys and souvenirs with sand or granular material inside. Best advice if you are not sure, is to packed it into your check-in luggage.

There is no limit on organic powders such as food and baby formula milk powder. For restricted inorganic powders, it must be in containers of 350 millilitres (volume), 350 grams (weight) or less.

The total volume of inorganic powders must not exceed 350 millilitres, 350 grams per person.

During the screening point, all powders in hand carry luggage must be separately presented for screening.

If you are traveling with infants or babies, just show them your baby formula milk powder in bottle during the screening point. There is no limit on baby formula milk powder.


With these new regulations, please go to the airport early in Australia in our opinion. Check in at least three hours for International flight in Australia airport. Be early rather than be late and miss your flight.
