10 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia on 2 May 2020
The last time we blogged abut COVID-19 Red Zones was 12 April 2020 and there were 26 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia. We stopped blogging about it as it was accumulative COVID-19 cases and there was 31 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia at one point.
There are 10 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia as on 12 noon, 2 May 2020 as announced by Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM) or Ministry of Health Malaysia on their official Twitter account.
Please take note that KKM categorised areas with 41 COVID-19 cases and above as red zones. There was 8 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia yesterday and the increment comes from Petaling and Gombak Zone.
The 10 COVID-19 Red Zones in Malaysia are:
Petaling (43 cases)
Hulu Langat (49 cases)
Gombak (77 cases)
Kepong (84 cases)
Lembah Pantai (263 cases)
Ttitwangsa (82 cases)
Johor Bahru (46 cases)
Kluang (70 cases)
Kuching (137 cases)
Kota Samarahan (47 Cases)
The above are active COVID-19 cases and not accumulated cases.
States like Perlis, Kedah, Kelantan and Perak are in Green Zones while there are two active COVID-19 cases in Penang.
There will be more people going back to work starting tomorrow, 4 May 2020 but do take safety measures like wearing face mask, make sure you clean your hands all the time, don’t touch your face and maintain social distance.
