Malaysians Exempted for Self Quarantine Arriving in UK from 11 Aug 2020
Good news for Malaysian traveling to UK! Malaysians Exempted for Self Quarantine Arriving in UK from 11 Aug 2020. This was announced by British High Commissioner to Malaysia Charles Hay on this Twitter as well as Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein.
From today, onwards Malaysians traveling to UK will not be self quarantine as Malaysia is added in the exempt list.
Delighted today Malaysia added to list where travellers do not need quarantine on arrival in United Kingdom. Great news for 000s of students on way to their studies! But if you transit a country not on the list you will need to quarantine! – British High Commissioner to Malaysia Charles Hay
United Kingdom UK’s decision to include Malaysia in their Safe Travel Corridors list signifies the strong & friendly bilateral relations between both countries. This new arrangement allows Msians to be exempted from 14-days self-isolation upon entering the UK, starting from 11 Aug 2020. – Foreign Minister Hishammuddin Hussein.
This definitely good news for Malaysians who plan to travel to UK when it safe to do so especially students for colleges or universities. We are still waiting for our borders to open when it is safe to travel. Be safe everyone and remember to wear your mask. =)
