Restoran Kakak Peng Genting Highlands
Restoran Kakak Peng Genting Highlands
Recently we went to Genting Highlands with the family and stayed at Gohtong Jaya. For dinner, we randomly find a Chinese restaurant to dine and we went to Restoran Kakak Peng Genting Highlands.
Restoran Kakak Peng Genting Highlands is located along Jalan Jati 1, Gohtong Jaya facing the huge roundabout. At night, there are many people dining here and finding parking could be tricky but there are always space somewhere nearby. Just be patience.
It is a kopitiam style restaurant and you technically don’t need an air cond at night as it is usually cooling.
We ordered three dishes and they are deep fried butter squid, sweet and sour pork and claypot pork belly with salted fish.
Deep fried butter squid comes with generous amount of the egg floss. The squid is lightly battered and deep fried to crispiness, the texture is still there and the flavour is pretty good with hints of spiciness. The most important part is the boys loved it.
The Claypot Pork Belly with Salted egg is better than expected. The flavour is there, pork belly is tender and the spiciness is spot on. This goes well with rice.
Lastly, we ordered the sweet and sour pork for the boys. Not the best we had but the texture and the taste is still decent.
Overall, the food at Restoran Kakak Peng Genting Highlands is decent while the food pricing is still manageable. We have not tasted the other restaurants so we can’t do a comparison but for a decent meal, you can check out Restoran Kakak Peng Genting Highlands.
