Fried Oyster Omelette at Kong Tai Lot 10 Hutong
The last time I blogged about Lot 10 Hutong was nine years ago. I still remember they opened over a decade ago, bringing all the best hawker food under one roof. While most of the hawker food survived, some come and go. One of the hawker food that is still around is Kong Tai and they are famous for their Singapore style dishes including fried oyster omelette.
It is hard to find a decent of Fried Oyster Omelette in Klang Valley nowadays and that is the reason why whenever I drop by at Lot 10 Hutong, I will visit Kong Tai.
We remember a plate of fried oyster omelette back then was less than RM 10 and it is almost RM 18 now. That is over one decade and the inflation is pretty real especially this year.
Their fried oyster omelette comes with a generous amount of oysters. This time it seems like they miss out the spring onions.
The texture is soft and a bit starchy, more to Singaporean style and not the crispy texture. The taste of the fried oyster omelette is pretty decent. Remember to complement it with the chili for that extra spicy flavor.
You can argue that there are better ones out there but there are not many of them in KL. This is just a short post to clear my mind to finish my other work.
