The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 Features Four Restaurants from Lima Peru

Just hours ago, the list of the The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 is out! The winner of the The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 is Central Restaurant in Lima and there are a total of four restaurants from Lima Peru.

It seems like the The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 Food Inspector just did a quick visit at Lima Peru. As we went there recently, we felt that Peruvian food is great and it has been underrated for decades.

There are four restaurants from Lima Peru in The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list and they are:

1. Central Lima

6. Maido Lima

28. Kjolle

47. Mayta

Interestingly, the The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 list features many restaurants from South America such as A Casa do Proco from Sau Paolo, Don Julio from Buenos Aires, Borago from Santiago, El Chato from Bogota and Leo from Bogota. There is also a few restaurants from Mexico. Did the inspectors did a tour from South America to Central America?

The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 also offers a diversified list of restaurants from around the world. Usually many restaurants from Europe and Asia dominates the list but this year is well spread.

Sadly, we didn’t visit any of the four restaurants listed at The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2023 in Lima Peru. We did check out most of their local food and the taste really opens our eyes and taste buds.

We tried Ceviche, Anticuchos de Corazon, Cuy, Lomo Saltado, Pollo a la Brasa, Jalea and more. A well document food review will be coming in upcoming months.
