Char Singapore Is Good But They Are Closing Down
Last year, I was in Singapore promoting 10 Great Food Experience for Klook and Tourism Singapore. Other than the 10 Great Food Experience in Singapore, I did try out other restaurants with friends and one of them is Char at Jalan Besar. I must say the food at Char is good but they are closing down.
I have seen buddy, Seth Lui promoting Char at Jalan Besar many years ago and then I finally made it with my friends.
We ordered their signature char siew, fried cod fish, stir fried spinach.
Their signature char siew is similar to KL’s version and it is really charred. It looks really black but it is not burnt, just the caramelization.
You can spot the nice three layers of pork belly and it comes with the chili sauce.
Let’s try the char siew. The first bite, it melts in the mouth. It is really tasty and it is not too sweet too. I am surprised at this char siew and this is probably the best in Singapore?
The cod fish and the fried spinach is tasty too and since my friend paid the bill, I am not sure how much it cost to dine here.
