Bangkok Chinatown Hidden Skybar
Bangkok Chinatown Hidden Skybar
If you have not been to Bangkok Chinatown for the past few years, time for a revisit. It is now easily accessible by the MRT instead of just taxi, tuk tuk or bikes. On top of the all amazing street food in Bangkok Chinatown, there is a hidden skybar that overlooks the area, Chao Phraya River and the city of Bangkok.
This Bangkok Chinatown Hidden Skybar is the GenZ Bar! The GenZ Bar is located at the 17th floor of Grand China Bangkok, the hotel that our family stayed on our recent trip.
Every Bangkok skybar offers different views depending where they are located. For GenZ Bar, the scenery here is different from the city and you can check out views of the Grand Palace and Icon Siam from here.
This is a beautiful and comfortable hidden bar that offers beautiful sunset and night view. There is an outdoor and indoor section.
For outdoor, it is more ‘Gen Z’ ambiance with bean bags and high chairs. You can really chill and relax here with the view of the sunset and night time. We ordered some mocktails for the kids to enjoy.
For the indoor, there is a bar as well as a pool table area so you can chill, relax and dine.
Since it was dinner time, we decided to check out their menu and ordered:
Aglio e Olio Bacon
Bluego Scallop
Quesadillas
Grilled Pork Neck
Truffle Soup and Parma Ham
The food prices here are very reasonable and food prices start from 100++ Baht and above. Compare to the other skybars in Bangkok, this is probably the cheapest menu we have seen.
Bluego Scallop is their scallop tapas. Served on a toasted bread, the scallop comes with blueberry and a bit of salsa. The kids loved this.
Truffle Soup and Parma Ham. The parma ham slice is on the toasted bread with crispy cheese.
The truffle soup is creamy, fragrant and compliments well with the bread. The kids loved this very much.
Aglio e Olio Bacon comes with a piece of garlic bread. This is delicious but it is spicy too and it caught us off guard. However, you can always ask them to cook a non spicy version.
Quesadillas is well cooked. The kids of course loved this very much. This is very enjoyable and compliments well with a beer or cocktail.
Grilled Pork Neck is a popular Thai dish. The kids enjoyed this even with the spicy sauce
We stayed at Grand China Hotel with our boys in the family room, review will come soon.
GenZ Bar Bangkok Chinatown Rooftop Bar is a great place to visit after your dinner at Yaowarat. A cozy casual bar to chill and chit chat until they close at 11pm. This is something new to add to your trip to Yaowarat / Bangkok Chinatown.
This Bangkok Chinatown Hidden Skybar is also kids friendly and we enjoyed their friendly service here.
Great atmosphere and ambiance with reasonable pricing and good food, you can check out this Bangkok Chinatown Hidden Skybar promotions from time to time at: https://www.facebook.com/Genzbarrooftop/
