Grand China Hotel Bangkok Family Staycation
Grand China Hotel Bangkok Family Staycation
This is my first time bringing my kids to Bangkok and we stayed at Grand China Hotel Bangkok. This is their first trip to Bangkok so I wanted them to have a lasting impression. This is the reason why went for Grand China Hotel Bangkok for Family Staycation.
If you want to watch the entire journey, we uploaded on Youtube and the video is as below. It is a lengthy video but do watch till the end if you want to know more about Grand China Hotel Bangkok.
We took the AirAsia X flight from KLIA T1 to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport. It was an early flight and the boys were really sleepy.
Bua Airport Express Bangkok Shuttle Bus Service
For travellers to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport, this is something new. Four major partners tourism and transportation industry in Thailand created the Bua airport Express. This new Bua Airport Express connects Suvarnhabhumi Airport up to 500 hotels across Bangkok and this includes to Grand China Hotel.
The Bua Airport Express Bangkok Shuttle Bus Service counter is located on the 1st floor Suvarnabhumi airport, near Exit Gates 7 and 8 and it operates from 7 am to 7 pm daily.
They charge 180 Baht per person and offers three different routes across Bangkok:
✔️Sathorn – Mahanakon Tower – MBK Center
✔️Yaowarat – Chinatown – Saochingcha
✔️Asok – Sukhumvit – EmQuartier – Thong Lor
Express Bangkok Shuttle Bus Service is ideal if you have lots of luggage as it won’t fit the regular taxis. The other advantage is it stops at the hotel doorsteps and the price is fixed.
The Grand China Hotel is a four star hotel and they offer 150 rooms and suites. The hotel is located at the main Yaowarat Road and they are basically in the middle of the happenings in Chinatown. It is less than minutes away from all the food stalls at Yaowarat and Sampeng Wholesale Market and less than 10 minutes away from the MRT Station.
Junior Suite Club
Their junior suite club is a huge family room and It comes with:
✔️Kids bunk bed + living room
✔️Master bedroom
✔️Two bathrooms
✔️Walk-in Wardrobe
It is very spacious and having two bathrooms means we don’t need to share it at once. This means privacy for both kids and us.
The Junior Suite Club is located on higher floors and it is very quiet at night. The hotel is located along Yaowarat Road but this is the quiet end of it.
The boys loved the bunk beds and they had really good night sleep. Being kids, they love the bunk bed designs too.
For the parents, we enjoyed the King Size bed at the master bedroom. The room is spacious and both rooms comes with huge flat screen TVs.
Swimming Pool
Grand China Hotel offers a rather unique outdoor swimming pool. It is located on the top floor and is big enough for leisure swimming.
It is always nice to dip into the pool after a long day traveling around the city.
Breakfast
The breakfast here is really good. They offer local Thai food as well as Western food. The most important of all, the food here is tasty.
They have egg station and I love their Thai chicken rice. Prepared early in the morning daily and I loved this!
This is probably the coolest rooftop bar in Bangkok Chinatown. The GenZ Bar is located at the 17th floor of Grand China Bangkok.
For outdoor, it is more ‘Gen Z’ ambiance with bean bags and high chairs. You can really chill and relax here with the view of the sunset and night time. We ordered some mocktails for the kids to enjoy.
You can read all about GenZ Bar & Bistro below.
Bangkok Revolving Restaurant Skyview 360
Skyview 360 is the one and only revolving restaurant in Bangkok. The revolving restaurant is located at the top floor of Grand China Hotel at Bangkok Chinatown.
The food here is amazing and they have a good variety of mocktails and cocktails. It was raining during our visit and hence we can’t get the night view of the Bangkok City.
There is also live band at Bangkok Revolving Restaurant Skyview 360 playing English songs all night long!
I have stayed here a few times but this is my first time with my family. Grand China Hotel Bangkok Family Staycation is simply awesome and it is really memorable for our family. We will definitely come back to stay at Grand China Hotel Bangkok again!
If you want to try Bangkok’s street food, Chinatown is the place to go. There is also MRT station at Bangkok Chinatown and hence why staying at Grand China Hotel is ideal!
