Time to share our food findings around Cheras, Kajang and Semenyih. Hidden within Taman Kasturi, Batu 11 Balakong Cheras, there are a few Chinese restaurants. One of them is Restoran Xin Fei Wai, a Chinese seafood restaurant that has been around for some time.
There are two Chinese restaurants facing each other in this area. Opposite Restoran Xin Fei Wai is Ken Well Seafood Restaurant. Both of them are air-cond restaurants and they have their own loyal customers.
I was at Restoran Xin Fei Wai Balakong Cheras with my parents and kids. It is a norm for the family to dine out every weekend and sometimes to new places around Cheras, Kajang and Semenyih.
Here are the food we ordered for dinner.
- Claypot braised pork knuckle
- Kam Heong Lala
- Stir Fried Kailan
- Sweet and Sour Pork
- Deep Fried Tofu
The food here is pretty decent. The kam heong lala, sweet and sour pork and deep fried tofu is pretty decent in flavor. For the pricing, I think it is slightly higher than average and it is still manageable.
I am not sure why but restaurants in this area love to give free ice cream. Free desserts for customers at the end of the day makes them come back again? A small token but it brings lots of smiles especially for kids.
