A Russian Affair at USSR Restaurant, Harbour Park, Langkawi

*This restaurant is permanently CLOSED*

I never had Russian food before… Like many other curious eaters, we gave it a try….

It was really nice and cozy at Harbour Park at night in Langkawi…. Dining there will be nothing more to ask for…

Not just the name is Russian, there’s a lot of Russians there as well…
Please do ask the English menu, they do have one big copy of Russian menu…

Flags in the restaurant: Should we need to explain more?
A taste of Russian: The interior of USSR

This salmon salad platter…. its really damn worth it and tasty as well… Its called Zakuson!

The seafood salad…

Solyanka.… A must try soup…

Their “different” mushroom soup…

A very unique lamb dish… Kaurdak!
Unforgettable salad dish

Potato salad anyone?

This chicken dish is not bad but chicken a bit overcooked, otherwise its very good…It is called Yaroslavna

Sorry for unable to name all the dishes as most of it in Russian and it was my mistake not take the picture of the menu…. Basically 4 of us spend less than RM 200 without wine. All of the dishes are good and I will go back again for the other dishes that we didn’t manage to try.

I would say good food, affordable price. Great location and good service.

  1. I’m from the United States. On my last trip to Malaysia I ate here with my girlfriend. It was wonderful! Absolutely delicious from the appetizer to desert. Very attractive presentation of dishes as well. I’ll go back there the next time I’m in Langkawi.

  2. irvine: price reasonable… u shud try

legalmonkey: Welcome to Malaysia my friend… the place was nice indeed

  3. First off I would like to say great blog! I had a quick question that I’d like to ask if you don’t mind. I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts prior to writing. I’ve had difficulty clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out there. I truly do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or hints? Appreciate it!
