White Water Rafting at Telaga Waja River Bali
White Water Rafting @ Telaga Waja River, Bali
White water rafting is one of the popular tourist attractions in Bali. There are at least two white water rafting places in Bali and we went to the Telaga Waja River white water rafting.
The white water rafting at Telaga Waja River takes almost a day so if you plan to do the white water rafting, you need a full day. The white water rafting in Telaga Waja River is only beginner level so it is not as adventurous as my Slim River white water rafting.
Going there is a journey. The tour van pick us up at 7 am in the morning. It took us around 3-4 hours (driving) from Nusa Dua to the meeting point of Telaga Waja River.
Everyone gathered before the safety briefing and then we need to wear our gears before getting on our rafts.
The fun part for this time around maybe its because there are more groups. At least more than 20 rafting boats were there. The river was not as shallow as Slim River and there are quite a number of obstacles like the low bamboo bridges and lots of turnings. It might not be very adventurous but it is fun!
The rafts didn’t flip over (unlike Slim River) in this river. There was a 4m deep plunge at the end of the check point and it is sort of like the grand finale.
The view here was breathtaking. Lots of terrain padi fields and natural waterfalls. With so many tourists each day, the river was still very clean and not much of pollutions.
However, we didn’t carry our cameras along the ride as it is not waterproof so many scenic views are not shown here. The white water rafting at Telaga Waja River is very safe and it is very professionally run. Everyone enjoyed the experience.
Many travel agents and tour companies offer Telaga Waja River white water rafting and when we reached Kuta, it is already 4pm so a gentle reminder that this is a full day event.
looks and sounds like a lot of fun! 🙂
so much of fun!

allison @ loke: it was good!
Hi, I was wondering if you could provide the contacts for the white water rafting shop that you went with. I’ve seen numerous agents, and they are charging a lot more expensive than what you’ve quoted, i.e. US50-60. Would appreciate your reply soon, as i will be in Bali on the 8-15 September 2010.
Thanks.
