It was my first visit to Papa John Pizza. Together with my friends, we went to Berjaya Times Square’s outlet for lunch. Locating the outlet was never been easier. It’s on the ground floor, sitting beside Krispy Kreme facing the busy main road.

The first visit is always exciting, never know how the food will turn out. We reached there around noon. We looked over the menu, ordered a set meal and added a few side orders. The set meal was RM 26.90 with one 9′ pizza, breadsticks and 2 glasses of coke. By 1pm, the place was already packed.

The sweet and spicy chicken wings (RM 8.00) came first. The taste was okay-okay but slightly oily.

The set meal came with breadsticks. Breadstick was “fluffy”, crispy on the skin and a bit dry but goes well with the salsa sauce. Breadstick was decent.

We ordered a 9″ Chicken Super Papa’s that was inclusive in the set meal. The pizza itself was never lacked of toppings. It came with grilled chicken, chicken sausage, chicken roll, fresh mushroom, green capsicum, onions, black olives and nicely topped with cheese. It was decent.

I almost forgot, it came with Jalapeno. Jalapeno here was sour.

Actually, my main objective to go to Papa John Pizza was to try their calzone. I ordered a Chicken Mushroom Calzone. Calzone is something like a pizza fold-over with fillings inside. When I cut the calzone, the hot fillings started to spill over slowly. The creamy cheezy chicken mushroom fillings goes very well with the crunchy pizza crust. I loved this, it was good.

In general, food was okay. The price was reasonable. The food serving time was slighty slow.
