Lotus Farm, Rice Cake Outlet and Fruit Orchard at Mahasawat River, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand
Have you visited a lotus farm? Rice cake outlet? Fruit orchard?
After Samphran Elephant Ground and Zoo visit, we proceeded to the Mahasawat River in Nakhon Pathom Thailand. This was the second day trip of my media travel trip to Thailand.
This is what I mean. The river, Mahasawat River. When we reached there, we sat on 2 different small boats where we were going to have a real river sight seeing.
It won’t take long as I spotted a thirsty dog right away. Somehow, it shy away.
Yeah, and I spotted a group of kids bathing. They jumped into the river once they saw me aiming my camera to them. Shy.
Lotus Farm was the first stop. I never been to one before, so I was not sure how it will looks like.
It was amazingly beautiful. The guide told us, it looked better if there were lotus around.
Only the leaves left as it was not the season for the flowers to bloom.
Simply breathtaking.
We went to a smaller boat to have a closer view and Kun Somboon from Tourism Authority of Thailand had the honour of paddling the boat.
Managed to spot one lotus. We proceeded to our next stop after that.
Well, it was a rice cake outlet.
The lady was explaining in Thai and she will demo how the rice cake is cooked.
This were the ingredients.
The pre cooked rice cake. The rice cake itself is transparent.
When it were fried, it turned to crispy brown rice cakes.
Add it with Chicken floss or Sesame with caramel, was a mouthful of delicious rice cake. It tasted so good. Freshly made rice cake was so tasty. I bought 9 packets of it. This are the rice cakes we seen at many gift shops and even in airports in Thailand. Hard to imagine I had the chance to try a fresh one. Then we proceeded to our last stop.
The fruit orchard.
We didn’t have time to venture around the orchard so we only sample the fruits. After trying various fruit, we called it a day.
Before we left, I managed to take a few more Mahasawat River pictures.
The sky turned gloomy.
It was a lovely small adventure. For those, who haven’t tried the boat ride on Thai rivers, you should give it a try.
