Amari Watergate Hotel Bangkok Review: In the Heart of Shopping Haven

Looking for a hotel in Bangkok is never been hard but choosing a right one can be difficult. Always know what you want first and then only locate the hotel that suits you best.

If you are looking a good luxury hotel with the closest distance for shopping, I will recommend Amari Watergate.

Located at the popular wholesale district of Pratunam, Amari Watergate is within walking distance to other shopping malls such as Platinum Mall and Central World.

Upon arriving at the hotel and walking into the lobby, the first thing that impressed me is the huge lobby with a very high ceiling.

There are sofas in the middle of the lobby for the hotel guests to connect to FREE WIFI. After getting my welcome drink and sorted out my check in information, I went up to my room.

Walking in the room there is a huge LCD TV on the left and the King Size bed on the right.

My habit is always walkthrough the room first before proceeds on the bathroom.

The décor of the room is a combination of dark wood with black leather.

The room is lighted with soft lights and it has the cozy comfortable feeling.

For the first night, there is a welcome dessert platter that will keep you smiling.

The working area looks stylish with the black leather chair.

Conveniently there are multiple power points near the working table. It is very important for me as I usually traveled with my laptop, video camera and digital camera. For a hotel room to have a multiple power points, it makes things easier for me.

Moving on to the bathroom, it is large in size for a hotel room in Bangkok.

The bathroom is lighted with bright white lightings there is a love and hate about such lightings. Some people prefer warm lighting and some prefer bright white lighting.

There is a bathtub with 2 cubicles, 1 for the standing shower and the other one for the toilet.

Rachel loves huge bathroom likes this and I have no problem dipping into the bathtub after a long day in Bangkok.

Lastly, if you are looking at a good hotel within the Pratunam area, this is one of the best choices around. Strategically located at the opposite of the popular Platinum Mall, shoppers can go back to the hotel in walking distance rather than taking a taxi back to a hotel.  I was shopping at Platinum Mall with one of the newspaper journalists during our free time. She enjoyed it!

There are restaurants, convenience stores and also Bangkok Skytrain (BTS), all in walking distance from the hotel. Traveling around Amari Watergate is really easy and convenient.

Overall my few night stays in Amari Watergate Bangkok were good. The room was clean and the service of the hotel staffs was excellent. I loved the huge varieties of food for their breakfast and the FREE WIFI service at the lobby. There is a security desk in front of the lobby lift at night and also the never ending smiling faces of the hotel staffs.

It was a great experience staying at Amari Watergate Hotel in Bangkok. It is another great experience at the Land of Smiles.
