Beautiful Suphan Buri City Pillar Shrine, Thailand
*Written by Wilson Ng*
Suphan Buri had quite a few string of surprises for us. One of the highlights of Suphan Buri was the Suphan Buri City Pillar Shine. Thank you, Tourism of Thailand Malaysia (TAT) for bringing us to this magnificent place.
Suphan Buri temple unlike other Thai temple, is very much influenced by Chinese culture. Though the built up area of this temple is not huge, but it looks grand by itself. The temple was built by Thai Chinese decendents, if not mistaken.
I will need a translation for this, will have to wait for Rachel to translate this.
This is the reason its called the City Pillar Shrine. It’s located at the middle of the temple.
Majesticly done.
Can you the shadow of the pillar?
Outside the inner main entrance of the temple. You can clearly see the Chinese characters beside the door.
Lovely art and colorful. Pillars are well painted and artfully done.
Within the temple, more pillars. Look at the marble floors.
Within the temple, very spacious area. The temple was well maintain, very clean, polished floor.
I must admit the temple did impress me. It’s one of Suphan Buri’s highlights. If you came across Suphan Buri, this is the place you can visit. I hope you like the pictures, thankfully the sky was blue enough.
