Paulaner Brauhaus Singapore: German Microbrewery Bar & Restaurant
In one of our recent trips to Singapore, we went to check out a German Microbrewery Bar & Restaurant located smack right at the center of the city. It is the popular Paulaner Brauhaus Singapore.
Located at the Raffles Boulevard at Millenia Walk, the brewhouse offers beers that are brewed on site in unadulterated form according to the German purity law of 1516. Whether light or dark: all Paulaner beers are always tapped fresh and with lots of fizz. The special beers offered twice to three times a year on a seasonal basis are also brewed internally for guests to see.
The view within at the brewhouse was spectacular. It looks like a mini brew factory with striking red lightings on the ceiling.
We ordered the Munich Lager, a bright golden brew with a smooth taste and a light hops flavor. Original wort: 12.4% by weight. For a 0.3 litre, the beer cost at S$13 / RM 30 / US$10.
After a few glasses of good beer and great time of get together with friends, we left the place with a smile on our face. Beer might be slightly on the high side but what you pay is the quality.
We loved the micro-brewery concept and hope there will be a few in Malaysia. Paulaner Brauhus is within walking distance from many popular hotels in Singapore. Will visit them again on our future trips to Singapore.
