Maesa Elephant Camp, Chiang Mai, THAILAND
This is one of the most popular elephant camps in Thailand. With existence for more than 30 years, the camp is also home for more than 70 elephants.

My previous visit to the camp was in 2003 with Rachel. It was Rachel’s first elephant show. Of course like the rest, we were thrill by the acts of the elephants.
See elephant painting, do you believe it?
One of the highlights of this camp is their elephant painters. Their elephant painters had claim awards from Ripley Believe It or Not and the Guinness World Records for the the Largest Painting by a Group of Elephants” and “the Most Expensive Painting by A Group of Elephants” respectively.

We also took an hour’s ride on the elephant trail. For first timers, this is a must try activity. Riding on top of the elephant gives you a different perspective view. During the hour’s ride, the elephant would stop for taking a dump while you are on top. That was a unique experience!
We spent hours on the camp before we proceed to our next destination.
For those who is coming to Chiang Mai, can you option to come for this place. We liked the elephant ride and we did also buy some souvenirs from the camp. We fed the little baby elephants and most important thing of all, we enjoyed ourselves there.
