Maxis 10: Avilion Admiral Cove Port Dickson Preview with Nokia N8
We are selected by Malaysia Telco, Maxis for a Maxis#10 Reviewer Program with Nokia N8 for 2 weeks. With the Nokia N8, we took some pictures and videos at Avilion Admiral Cove Port Dickson during my weekend stay with friends.
There’s so much to play on this Nokia N8. It has a 12 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, full screen 16:9 viewfinder with easy-to-use touch screen parameters, xenon flash, Face recognition software, Autofocus, Focal length: 5.9 mm, F number/Aperture: F2.8, Still images file format: JPEG/EXIF and zoom up to 2x (digital) for still images.
To us, this mobile phone is like a digital camera. We’ve been skeptical about using the mobile phone as a digital camera. We seen too much on the advertisements but can the mobile phone delivers the picture quality as a digital camera?
Let the pictures do the talking.

Personally, the picture quality is quite similar to the better digital cameras. It can auto focus by pressing the button half way similar to digital cameras. Viewing the pictures on the phone is simple by touching the screen. We haven’t really fully tried out the flash function yet, so we couldn’t comment much. We have taken a few videos with it, on 720p HD. We will share the videos soon once we have edited the videos.

To be fair, we are not tech people. We can’t differentiate between Symbian and Android. To us, we want a good phone that helps us in real life especially we love traveling taking pictures and videos. Of course, calling using the phone must be easy as we don’t fancy complicated phone. Sometimes we do left out our cameras at home or office by mistake or the battery died unexpectedly, this Nokia N8 will come handy. There will be more honest reviews in the upcoming blogposts, we still have 2 weeks to play around with the Nokia N8.
Not forgetting the great deal I had thru PYOTravel.com. Without it, I would spent my weekend at Avilion Admiral Cove Port Dickson. Thank you for reading.
