Authentic Philippines Food at Bistro Remedios, Manila
Authentic Philippines Food at Bistro Remedios, Manila
Last year, I was invited by Tourism Philippines for FAM trip to Manila. However, due to my busy work schedule I couldn’t make it. Instead I sent a representative on my behalf.
One of the highlights of the trip is the dinner at Bistro Remedios. Bistro Remedios is very popular in Manila for its authentic Pinay food.
The place is beautiful, a great place for couples for dinner or special occasions.
Sinuteng Baby Pusit
The saute baby squid, sundried chillies, olive oil and garlic is a delicious starter of cocktail accompaniment sour. It also comes with a nice purple colour.
Manggang Hilaw at Bagoong
Slices of green mango served with spicy bagoong or shrimp paste. The green mango is sour but it compliments well with the sprimp paste.
Tortang Talong
Grilled eggplant with omelette. The eggplant is grilled and wrapped with the omelette.
Knockout Knuckle
Knockout Knuckle – aka Crispy Pata Bawang, a whole leg of pork is deep fried and then sprinkles with garlic and chillies. Its meat is tender and together with its crunchy skin, this is sinful and yet simply delicious. This is one of the finest in Manila (as my rep was told).
Bistro Remedious also offers special rice dishes and well loved Kapampangan specialties for the adventurous gourmet. Check out their address and their contact below. Thank you for reading. Thank you again Tourism Philippines for the invite.

My blog is not hitting big time. I sent rep because I was tied up with work. How are you in Aussie lately?

Very interesting restaurant. I’m curious about the Knockout Chuckle, seems very delicious. 🙂
I’m really desperate to go to Manila. Maybe this year, and I’ll visit this place.
Oh sorry; it’s the Knockout Knuckle or Crispy Pata Bawang I’m curious about. 🙂
