Two weeks ago, I spent my weekend in Port Dickson for the Malaysia Water Festival Port Dickson 2011. Promoted by Tourism Malaysia, the Malaysia Water Festival 2011 is aimed to promote Port Dickson as one of the country’s top destination.

I still remember the days when my parents would drove to Port Dickson for the sandy beaches. My family back then will spend the whole day enjoying the beach. It is one of the nearest sandy clean beaches from Klang Valley.
The Malaysia Water Festival Port Dickson 2011 is officiated by your highness, Tuanku Besar Seri Menanti, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, the Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan, Deputy Minister of Tourism Malaysia YB. Dato Dr. James Dawos Mamit and officials from Negeri Sembilan state government.
Your highness Tuanku Besar Seri Menanti, Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, the Yang Dipertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan also officiate the PD International 4×4 Challenge, an annual 4×4 car event that will be held in Port Dickson to promote motorsport and tourism.

The Malaysia Water Festival Port Dickson 2011 also hosts a free concert that features popular local artists.
Not forgetting the watersports that available that includes banana boat ride, jetski, “storm” ride and many more.
I spent the evening there barbequing with my friends as most of them camped at the beach side. We pre-packed our food and had a great time. It was an enjoyable festival and I am looking forward to come again next year!
