Get Adventurous with Sentosa Day Pass with 13 Sentosa Attractions in Singapore
Sentosa Day Pass includes 13 Sentosa attractions and valid from 9am to 7pm
It has been a while since I went to Sentosa Island in Singapore for leisure. I cannot remember clearly my first visit but it was ages ago. Sentosa Island was very popular with its musical fountain. It must have been more than 20 years ago when I saw that.
Things definitely change in time. Now they have a casino on the island as well as cable car and monorail ride into the island.
My recent trip with wife Rachel to Sentosa Island was exciting, fun and enjoyable. Many people will always link Sentosa with Universal Studios Singapore, but there are more than that. It is larger than we thought.
We bought the Singapore Day Pass due to the recommendation of my friends. The Singapore Day Pass includes 13 Sentosa attractions and it is valid from 9 am to 7pm. Since we went on the weekend, we paid S$69.90 per person (usual price S$161) for the pass. It saves us almost S$200 for 2 persons.
We reached Sentosa around noon and we went straight to the Merlion.
The Merlion
This Merlion is different than the one at Marina Bay. On top of this gigantic Merlion, you can view Sentosa Island in 360 degrees. In addition, there is also video presentation on the origin of Merlion as well as special free gift for everyone!
Then we moved on the Images Of Singapore
Images Of Singapore
Although Singapore has been independent country for less than 50 years, its history as one of the most important sea port in the world has left many important history and images.
Sentosa Cineblast
If you are looking for excitement, try the Sentosa Cineblast. For those who are familiar with Motion Master, this is Motion Master with 3D. The new state of the art Sentosa Cineblast is safe and exciting. Prepared the ride to the mystical world with Sentosa Cineblast with 3D, something you won’t regret trying.
Desperados
You know the classic Wild Wild West movies where the cowboys riding on their horses equipped with their guns protecting their towns and hunting the bandits. Re-live those moments with Desperados. We hunt and set our guns firing as top scorer featured on the screen while unlucky cowboys will also get their moments. This ain’t Brokeback Mountain, so get ready to have your guns blazing!!
Sentosa 4D Magix
We heard of 3D but have you heard of 4D? Well, Sentosa 4D Magix will be something you might want to try. On top of the 3D movie with 3D glasses, there will be additional dimension of fun with wind and water! I got my face totally wet at the end of the day but it was really fun. Rachel and I loved this.
Tiger Sky Tower
The Tiger Sky Tower is the only highest place in Sentosa to view the island 360 degrees automated and air-conditioned. The ride will take a few minutes from bottom to top and the view can go as far as seeing Vivo City and also the Strait of Malacca. After a day of long walk under the sunny sun, this is the best place for the best view and a bottle of cold Tiger Beer.
Segway Fun Ride
I have the luxury of riding a Segway at one of their events in Malaysia and to know that they have a Segway Park in Sentosa is unbelievable. One of the most innovative human transporter machines, we had fun manuevering Segway through a designed off road course.
Though it looks difficult to mannever, it just take minutes for anyone to learn on riding on it. We wish to have one of those at home but with the price tag of over RM 30,000 per unit, I rather play it in Sentosa.
Bi-Pedal Bicycle (1hr)
Want to get closer with Sentosa? Try the Bi-Pedal Bicyle for an hour and cycle around the island by yourself. Experience the scenery, feels the weather and explore for more with the Bi-Pedal Bicycle.
The Flying Trapeze
The Flying Trapeze looks interesting and fun and Rachel tried it in Club Med before. However, the picture of me doing a flying trapeze is just simply wrong. I passed on this but I might come back to try, one day.
Luge or Unlimited Skyrides
I always like Skyrides and Luge. In fact, we just had Skyride recently in China and it was our first time trying out the Luge, which we loved it.
I enjoyed the thrill of the Luge while the Skyride for me is a chance to take a break enjoying the wind and “floating” in the middle of the island.
Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom
A must-see outdoor experience for children, tourists and nature lovers alike, Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom has wowed visitors from all over the world. With the scents, sights and sounds of an authentic tropical rainforest, it’s a multi-sensory, interactive experience that’s guaranteed to engage you from start to finish.
Sentosa Nature Discovery- Guided Tour
The exploration starts with a fascinating gallery of interactive exhibits at the Gallery to brush up your science process skills: Observe, Classify, Compare and Infer. Equipped with these skills, step out into the jungle and explore a wilderness teeming with birds, insects, other wildlife and plants.
Fort Siloso
Fort Siloso is home to the Singapore’s largest collection of World War II memorabilia. A tram takes you on a journey through history, with entertaining guides bringing the past to life and explaining the fort’s vital role in defending the Malayan region. Explore old tunnels and discover original guns, cannons, film clips and photographs from yesteryear.
We spent the whole day in Sentosa with the Day Play Pass. We also stopped at various ice-cream stalls in the island. It is convenient to travel around either with the Sentosa Express, the busses as well as the “trams”. We also walked into few attractions and we didn’t even have time to chill at various beaches. We will go back to Sentosa again for sure and it is a wonder how a small little island has so many things to do.
