Honeymoon in Bali Day One: Uluwatu Temple, Klapa Beach Club and Dreamland Luxury Villa and Spa
Honeymoon in Bali Day One: Uluwatu Temple, Klapa Beach Club and Dreamland Luxury Villa and Spa
Last year when we look for a destination for honeymoon, we expect to go to a beautiful island with sandy beaches, amazing sunset, spectacular food and a little bit of adventure. On top of all of the above, the price must be reasonable too.
We found a few places that are meets our criteria and they are Phuket Thailand, Bali Indonesia and Langkawi Malaysia. After a long discussion, we decided to go to Bali for our honeymoon. It will be our second trip to Bali.
We reached Denpasar, Bali in the afternoon from Kuala Lumpur. We booked a guided tour and our guide, Pak Putu waited for us at the arrival hall of Ngurah Rai International airport.
If you don’t have a guided tour, please do check out the local guide with van at affordable prices in front of the Ngurah Rai International airport. The charges for the local guide or driver with the van should be in the range of US$40 per day. Chargers differ based on length of the van rental as well as the different type of vehicle used. Most guides or drivers can speak English. Other foreign languages speaking guides also available, just ask the counters located outside of the airport.
We went for a quick lunch first and since Kuta is located beside Denpasar, our guide took us to this restaurant called Kemangi. Kemangi is a fusion of Italian and Indonesian restaurant.
The food there was disappointing as the food served to us was cold. We complained but the waitress there didn’t do anything, disappointing. After lunch, we travel south to Uluwatu for the infamous Uluwatu temple. Due to the traffic jam, we took 40 min to reach the Uluwatu temple.
We were advised to take off little things like spectacles, wallets, handbags or such as there are a lot of wild monkeys in Uluwatu temple. The problem with these monkeys is they like steal things. It is better to be safe than sorry, I took off my spectacles.
The temple is just a short distance from the parking area. It was probably around a good five minute walk.
Based on my experience there, to have the best view of the Uluwatu temple is to view it from far. To be precise, the view from the opposite cliff of the temple is excellent. It’s just another 10 min walk from the top of the temple.

After the Uluwatu temple, we went to the Klapa Beach Club in Dreamland. Dreamland is a new popular spot in Bali.
Klapa Beach Club overlooks the view of the beautiful Dreamland beach.Hence, Klapa Beach Club is one place that can rivals other sunset viewing places in Bali.
The club is also one of the latest attractions for surfing enthusiasts and we spent some time there having our cocktails while enjoying the view and listening to the house music.
After spending our beautiful evening at Klapa Beach Club at we checked in to our private villa at Dreamland Luxury Villa and Spa. We chose to stay at private villa than hotel as we wanted privacy for our honeymoon. Private villas in Bali have very good reviews and reputations. More over the pricing is much lower than many other places.
Dreamland Luxury Villa and Spa prepared a honeymoon themed private villa for us. The private pool and the bed were decorated with pink flowers. They even gave us a complimentary lobster dinner with wine in the villa. It was really a good way to celebrate our honeymoon. This is only day one of our 5 days honeymoon trip in Bali. Check out our Honeymoon in Bali Day Two tomorrow as there are more to come! Thank you for reading!

The view is amazing from up there. Bali is a great destination that most people would want to explore. Enjoy the next few days of Honeymoon there at Bali bro 🙂
Wow.. very nice places.. look interesting.. I have never go to Bali.. 🙁
What a BEAUTIFUL landscapes !!
If there is one thing that I would recommend to a Bali’s first timer to do, then it would be enjoying the Kecak and Fire dance at the Uluwatu Temple. Why? It’s trully a blend of culture and breathtaking scenery, and it’s hassle free, and it’s easy on the budget! The dance is Balinese traditional dance, in which hundreds of man will dance and shout in harmony. The storyline of the drama is provided on the leaflet in several language in order for easy understanding the story path.
It looks like one the most relaxing and inspiring places on earth… especially the beach and the spa. Thanks for sharing!
Great info. Lucky me I recently found your blog by chance (stumbleupon).
I have bookmarked it for later!
Bali is the most beautiful island in the world either natural or cultural, a suitable place for honeymoon
