It is one of those rare occasions we got invited to retail shopping related events. It was for the opening of Brands Outlet (owned by Padini Group) in Fahrenheit 88 (ex-KL Plaza). The 20th Brands Outlet took out quite a large space on the Lower Ground of Fahrenheit 88.

It was only months ago our blog won the Best Shopping Blog Award by Tourism Malaysia. We were quite shocked to win the award given our forte is food and travel related stories.
Many might not understand that shopping is part of tourism. I still remember my younger days I used to travel down to Singapore to shop during the Crazy Sales in July and their Christmas Sales in December. With the disadvantage of the currency exchange, I stop traveling down south for my spending spree.
With the increment of tourist arrivals, the shopping centres and the factory outlets started to boom and it mushrooms in most major cities in Malaysia. Brands Outlet is one of them and they have 20 stores nationwide now.

What’s in store for Brands Outlet Fahrenheit 88? Unlike other similar factory outlets, Brands outlets focussed more on more organized retail shopping experience. They are not “reject outlets” or factory outlets but they offer similar prices with quality apparels.

They segmented their apparels to Jeans, Graphic T, Shirts, Work and Khakis for Men’s wear. Of course there will be more varieties for Women.

There are special discounts for the opening of the Brands Outlet Fahrenheit 88 including selected Graphic T and Polo T from RM 9. I bought a couple of these and also some of the casual shirts. They are having a Buy One Free One promotion on the casual shirts at RM 69.90 *each.

Graphic tees for only RM 9!!! It’s freaking cheap but too bad when I in KL, no more this kind of promotion. KK also has few Brands Outlet but selling graphic tees 3 for RM50 =(
