Pandelela Rinong wins BRONZE for London Olympic 2012’s Women 10m Platform
Pandelela Rinong wins BRONZE for London Olympic 2012’s Women 10m Platform. She will be in the history books as the first women to win a medal for Malaysia and also a non-badminton medal in Olympics.
The 19 year old is one of the dark horses to win a medal for London 2012. Since qualifying, there are hints that she will be on podium. She qualified as top two to semifinal round and qualified as top five to the final rounds.
For the Women 10 Platform final, she started with a rather nasty jump and I thought it dashed her hope for being on podium. Instead, the Sarawakian came back with a few magnificent dives. If she did well on her first dive, she could score silver!

On her last dive, she scored highly and she proves as a better diver than the rest. Bronze is her medal and she will be in the history books.
It is around 3 am in Malaysia now and tomorrow the nation will wake up to welcome a new hero. Her name is Pandelela Rinong and she wins a Bronze for the country!
