Window Of The World Theme Park Shenzhen

Window Of The World Theme Park, Shenzhen

What is in Shenzhen China? Many would recommend shopping and the street food but they forgotten something important, the Window of the World theme park. Built in 2004 and located at the Western part of Shenzhen, Window of the World is a proud 48 hectares theme park with 130 reproductions of some of the most popular tourist attractions in the world.

Visiting Shenzhen for the first time, we need to explore some of the popular tourist attractions. While we spent our last evening, eating and shopping, we need somewhere to burn off the extra calories.

We took a taxi to the Window of the World and we were greeted by a huge replica of Louvre Pyramid of France.

The entrance is RMB 160 (RM 80 / US 23) excluding the Eiffel Tower ride. It might sound pricey but wait till you see what is inside and you will be the judge whether it is worth it or not.

While the entrance is heavily influenced by European style architecture, the background is set with the elegant 108 metre (354 ft) tall Eiffel Tower.

We didn’t allocate much time for the theme park as we didn’t know it is so huge. Covering the whole theme park needs probably four to five hours if you want to watch the side shows.

Entering the theme park was like entering another world. Behind the walls of the entrance are the sculptures of mystical characters.

Within the theme park, there are signs and maps everywhere. As the park is huge, you might get lost easily so do refer to the map.

We entered the Asia section first and we were greeted by the Thailand Royal Palace in Bangkok.

This is not my first time experience visiting a park like this. The first similar park I could remember is the Mini Siam in Bangkok, Thailand. That was at least 12 or 13 years ago during my pioneer trip to the capital city of Thailand.

An hour or two within the park is definitely not enough. We estimate at least three hours and above to enjoy your walk, taking pictures and going up to the mini Eiffel Tower. Window of the World theme park might not be an eye opener but an enjoyable park to explore especially going to the top of the mini Eiffel Tower.
