湖 南 冰 鎮 鮑 魚
“Hunan” Ice chilled whole baby abalone with Fresh pomelo, avocado, kiwi and spicy sesame sauce
While most abalones are usually served in hot, Lai Po Heen’s version was served in cold. Using quality South American whole baby abalone, it was served in cold temperature placed on top of crushed ice together with cubes of avocado, kiwi and spicy sesame sauce. You can taste the freshness of the baby abalone and yet it was chilled.

Double boiled Kung fu soup with Premium dried seafood, Cordyceps, American ginseng, morel mushrooms and baby cabbage
I loved the presentation for this. The concept was similar of serving tea in the cup but using the double boiled Kung Fu soup and poured onto a cup Cordyceps, American ginseng, morel mushrooms and baby cabbage. It was good and enjoyable to have this double boiled Kung Fu soup. It thought it was gratifying.

海 皇 珍 珠 籠 仔 飯
Sun dried scallops glutinous rice Served in Dim Sum basket
What an enticing presentation. The glutinous rice wrapped with spinach and complimented with shredded eggs, fried shallots and spring onions.
When you opened the cabbage, you will find soft glutinous rice with a huge piece of scallop. Amazingly the rice was soft and it was scrumptious. I never had such great glutinous rice before to be frank. Delectable!

Sweet sensation, Peanut coated butter milk cubic, green tea sauce with Passion fruit infused coconut pudding
I loved the peanut coated butter milk cubic, the texture was similar to pudding and the peanuts were complimented well. The coconut pudding on the other hand had a smooth texture and the passion fruit spiced up the taste of it. The dessert was not too sweet so it was a great way to end the beautiful dinner.
The MIGF 2012 menu at Lai Po Heen was a good one. I loved the “Hunan” Ice chilled whole baby abalone with Fresh pomelo, avocado, kiwi and spicy sesame sauce, Double boiled Kung fu soup with premium dried seafood, Cordyceps, American ginseng, morel mushrooms and baby cabbage and Sun dried scallops glutinous rice served in Dim Sum basket.
This menu is only available for MIGF 2012 for month of October so book early to avoid disappointments.
