Salak South Best Satay (Peel Road)
Salak South Best Satay (Peel Road)
There are many satay stalls in food courts but it is very hard to find a good one. Now, I don’t need to travel far for the best satay as I found one in Salak South or Salak Selatan. This is a hidden gem I promise you.
(The stall is located in front of Fatty Mok Hakka Yong Tau Foo Seafood Restaurant)
The origin of this Salak South satay is from Peel Road’s Queens Hotel Satay Stall. For those who are familiar with Cheras, Queen’s Hotel Satay stall has been around for more than 30 years. The Salak South stall is just their first branch and it has been popular with the residents around the area. The problem with this stall is it has only limited satays available per day and it tend to sold out by 8 pm. They usually open their stall around 6.30pm (please call to make sure).
(Satay char grilled to perfection)
The satays are consistent with their main HQ in Peel Road. A few of its workers from Queens are assigned at this stall so each every single satay is char grilled to perfection. The meat is tender and moist and their satay paste was perfectly cooked. I’ve visited this stall a few times and it never disappoints me.
(Video of the satay man grilling the satays)
The stall is located in front of the Restoran Fatty Mok Hakka Yong Tau Foo. I have attached the map and phone below so you can order the satay in advance. Please call before you go there to make sure they open and also for advance booking rather than waiting at the stall. They only sells chicken and beef at this stall.
