Hello Kitty Returns to McDonald’s!

Hello Kitty fans can now rejoice as the iconic Japanese white bobtail cat returns to McDonald’s Malaysia. Remember the Hello Kitty craze in the 90s?

After over seven years of absence, Hello Kitty is back and is dressed up as classic Ronald & Friends characters in four different designs, namely Hamburglar, Grimace, Birdie and Ronald McDonald himself. Each design, which comes in a special collector’s box, will be launched every week beginning from 25 April 2013, Thursday. Well, prepare yourself for this Hello Kitty mania!

“At McDonald’s, when we say there’s something for everyone, we truly mean it! With the return of our limited edition Hello Kitty plushies, we have certainly got something special for not only your kids, but also for that big kid in you!” said Sarah Casanova, Managing Director of McDonald’s Malaysia and Regional Manager of McDonald’s Malaysia & Singapore.

“So for the next four weeks beginning this Thursday, you have four good reasons to come to McDonald’s and look forward to enjoying a great, wholesome meal with your family, friends and new Hello Kitty plushy,” she added.

And thanks to the lovely people from McDonalds Malaysia, they sent me a set of Hello Kitty but I’m preparing to get my second set! So how do I get them all?

‘How do I get ‘em all?’

These exclusive official Sanrio Hello Kitty plushies are only available for a limited time and in limited quantities. Customers will only need to pay RM9.95 for each toy with the purchase of any McValue Meal and RM15.95 each for ala-carte purchase.

Additionally, to reward McDonald’s Malaysia Facebook fans, 10 sets of McDonaldland Hello Kitty plushies will be given per week, throughout the four week campaign period.

All a customer needs to do is register via McDonald’s Malaysia Facebook fanpage at www.mymcd.com.my/hellokitty, follow some easy steps and get their friends to send them “Hello Kitty Stamps” via Facebook, and be the Top 10 collectors each week!
