Kuen Café Jalan Dang Wangi Review
Kuen Café Jalan Dang Wangi Review
When you talk about food in Dang Wangi, Yut Kee rings the bell. Well, to be frank the place is slightly overrated? While it is always overpopulated with customers, I find another comforting food nearby, Kuen Café.

Kuen Café is at the same road of Jalan Dang Wangi and like Yut Kee, it is overcrowded too. I was there for lunch with my friends and they recommended it to me. It wasn’t long I managed to find seats in the crowded restaurant.
Like Yut Kee, Kuen Café is non Halal but they don’t serve the roast pork like they do. The lunch started with Chicken Chop rice. This is simple and nice, nothing complicating with the taste and recipe. Just deep fried battered chicken chop and topped with gravy with salad and potatoes.
Curry noodle was next. I loved the portion and they were generous with their curry. The curry noodle wasn’t any extraordinary but it was definitely good.
Lastly, I had the prawn mee or prawn noodle. The prawn mee was the star of the day. While the chicken chop rice and curry noodle didn’t shine, the prawn mee wasn’t disappointing. The thing about this café is they are good with their portion and the taste of the prawn booth was pretty good. Don’t expect big prawns here but only a couple of small ones.
The people there are friendly and the pricing there is reasonable. Most of their food is less than RM 10 each but do remember to go there early as it is usually packed during lunch hour. Don’t expect any extraordinary food but simple and comfort food. The shop is located near Yut Kee.
