Ttukseom Hanjeongsik at Onsemiro Korean Fine Dining Restaurant and KTO Luncheon

Ttukseom Hanjeongsik means original cuisine in Korean. That’s what I read from the menu. Forgive me as I’m not a big fan of Korean food. However that didn’t stop me of having them.

Last week, I was invited to a luncheon by KTO (Korea Tourism Organisation) at Onsemiro, a Korean Fine Dining Restaurant located at the Intermark in Kuala Lumpur. It is located at the second floor and they opened from 11.30 am.

This was my first time meeting up with KNTO as a travel blogger. They have been very supportive for PlacesAndFoods.com and I hope to visit Korea with them soon. I was amazed by PSY’s Wiki Korea!

During luncheon, I also met up with AirAsiaX’s representative for the first time too. I had great time sharing my stories and knowing them as friends. To be frank after listening to the short presentations, I am eager to visit South Korea soon and share my adventure here and on my Facebook page. After all those mingling, it was time for the Korean feast.

The best part of Korean food is you get the platter of delicacies. At Onsemiro, they serve a platter of nine delicacies. They are the usual bunch if I’m not mistaken, kimchi, pickles, cockles and etc.
onsemiro pumpkin soup
Soup of the day was pumpkin soup. This was pretty good but slightly too thick. The pumpkin was sweet but the texture similar to puree.

onsemiro japchae
Japchae
onsemiro octopus
Noodles with Stir-fried baby octopus
onsemiro grilled mackerel
Grilled Fish (Mackerel) Special, I guess it is hard to go wrong with grilled fish. Perfectly grilled and love the taste of the fish.
onsemiro grilled beef
Grilled Beef Short Ribs Special, I really enjoyed this. I loved the taste and it was perfectly grilled as well. I had the most of this.
onsemiro dessert
Iced Persimmon, 100% frozen pure persimmon fruit with no sugar added. Amazingly, it has the similar texture to sorbet. This is my first time having an ice persimmon and this was beautifully done. Korean Traditional Confectionary and Tea. Traditional Korean confectionary made from flour, rice, honey and sugar accompanied by traditional tea.

It was indeed a Ttukseom Hanjeongsik at Onsemiro Korean Fine Dining Restaurant. I learned so much about Korean food and I’m grateful to KTO for inviting me for the media luncheon.
