Then recently, they are here again to keep base with their Asian’s fans with the return of Jose Mourinho. With the Special One, you will expect Chelsea to play to their best against Malaysia XI.
Unlike 2011, this time it will be played at Shah Alam Stadium. What a weird choice because the stadium have not been hosting any huge events for some time.
Furthermore, it was in the Ramadhan month so the game starts at 9.45pm. For that, many food stalls didn’t open outside of the stadium.
I got my tickets thanks to Manoah Consulting and Samsung Malaysia. The seats are at the back of the goal post, my first time watching football from this section.
It was a one sided game as expected and Chelsea attacking for most of the first half. Within the 45 minutes, Chelsea scored three goals with no reply.
The second, Chelsea took a more conservative and laid back approach. Malaysia and Chelsea scored one goal each bringing the end game to Chelsea 4 – 1 Malaysia. The score reflects a stronger Chelsea team even without Juan Mata and Fernando Torres.
There are even two trials in this game and Traore scored on his trial. It was a great match with the new Chelsea players showing their class. Chelsea is one of the front runners to win the Premier League this year with Jose Mourinho as their gaffer.
